What to build in The Sims - FOOD EDITION | Sims 2 Tips

Have you ever lost your inspiration on what to build in The Sims? I did! And what helped me? Tips from other people on what do they like to build in this game. I am building mostly in The Sims 2 since that is my most favorite game of The Sims franchise, so these tips will be dedicated to The Sims 2 but players of other games can definitely use them too since this is a general topic.

This time I will be writing about food and drink-related builds since they're my most favorite! Oh, and I will be adding some CC tips!

What to build in The Sims - FOOD EDITION

Cafés

I love coffee so the first things that came to my mind are cafés! I love to go there in real life and I want my sims to go there too so this is a must for me!

There are a variety of cafés where I live, so I took inspiration from that.

• Internet Café - these days you can go almost everywhere with your laptop and it is considered normal, but sims in The Sims 2 don't walk around with their laptops so I need to put the laptops already inside the cafe. I can still imagine that these sims brought laptops with them. I also use some CC electric plugs and stuff to make it look realistic! I use these by Living Dead Girl.
• Pet-friendly Café - another really popular place to go - because you can take your beloved pets with you there! That is also possible to do in The Sims 2!
• Roastery + Café - do you know these hipster cafés which use their own coffee to prepare drinks? Yes!
• Coffee Booth - my very favorite way to buy coffee, where I live we have very popular coffee bikes called Kofi-Kofi but there are many others! I build a similar thing in the past in The Sims 2 but I can't find a picture, will add it if I find it!
• Starbucks Coffee, Costa Coffee and so - you may like them, you may not. I find it cool to make my sims go to these! These accessories by zeroth will help you build one!

Restaurants

• Breakfast/Brunch Bistro - another very popular place to go, in my town there is one called Brunche's and you have to make a reservation if you want to go there.
• Pizzeria - yeah, what's more obvious than pizza - but who doesn't like it? I can see some of these The Sims 3 Monte Vista conversions in your Pizzeria! 
• Expensive Restaurant - something classy where you need to go in your black-tie outfit.
• Fast Food - a nice place to make it for example a teenagers-only lot! I mean, older people go to fast foods as well but I think most teenagers will like this lot in your town! 
• Garden Restaurant - because what is The Sims without some flower clutter!
• Students Cafeteria - a nice lot for your University neighborhood or the normal one, for example, if you build schools as well! 

Food Shops

• Grocery Store - of course! Or you can rebuild the one in Pleasantview as I am planning to do! This is a thing your sims can actually use without any mods or CCs.
• Fruit and Vegetables - I imagine this as a small shop or at-home business of a gardener sim.
• Bakery - this is a really cute set by mdhttr323 on ModTheSims to help you run your bakery!
• Tea and Coffee - the place where you can buy coffee grains and tea leaves.
• Cake Shop - sweets everywhere! How about some Katy Perry's Sweet Treats conversions?
