How to fix HoodChecker Memories Subject does not exist

Hey everyone! Yesterday I spent good two hours fixing the bugs that HoodChecker found in my Pleasantview neigborhood file. 

HoodChecker is a famous tool created by Mootilda that helps The Sims 2 players a lot. I believe that majority of you already use it and if you don't, you should really consider it. It's a great tool to prevent corruption in your neighborhood. 

In this article I am showing you what helped me with my problems and how you can do it too, but there is no guarantee it will work for you as well, always make a backup of your neighborhood!

Subject does not exist

The problem I had yesterday was the Subject does not exist error in the Memories section. HoodChecker will not automatically fix this but you can do it in SimPE. Even though a lot of people are talking about this topic on the internet, in the first moment it's not that easy to find a straighforward answer. At least for me it took a while. That's why I thought it would be nice to write a tutorial on my blog for it, and it might help someone in the future.

These are the ones I'm talking about. 

Always make a backup of your neighborhood folder before doing any changes in SimPE. HoodChecker tells you to do so as well!

1. Open SimPE
2. Click Tools (top bar) -> Neighborhood -> Neighborhood Browser -> choose your neighborhood and click Open
3. In the left tab "Resource Tree" click Neighborhood/Memory
4. Click Plugin View at the bottom of the page
5. Choose a sim which has the broken memory in the left part of a window
6. Find the memory that is supposed to be broken - we are looking for a memory with missing Subject
7. Click the memory and add a sim/object that you want to the Subject tab

for this memory - Had a Great Anniversary Party - the subject is supposed to be the same as owner of the memory so I filled the Subject...Sim: with the name of the owner

After that just click Commit and File->Save to save the changes

Then I would recommend closing SimPE and running the HoodChecker again to see if that worked.

Problem: Memories not showing up as they should

I encountered the problem that my memories didn't show up - only some of them did and it was only the Invisible ones. So for example I didn't see the one Had a Great Anniversary Party with that balloons symbol. If this didn't happen to you, skip this part, you're done.

For those of you who had this problem, my solution was this:

1. In SimPE, click Extra (top bar) -> Preferences
2. Click System Folders tab if it's not selected already
   
   Instead of path like this
   
   I've had there stuff like that
   
   
   
3. Change the wrong paths to the path where you have installed your game and expansions
4. Click Okay, then you may need to restart SimPE and you're done

This worked for me and since then my memories showed up as they should.

The Sims Castaway Stories + how to install DISC VERSION

Hello everyone, today I am bringing you an article about the last one of The Sims Stories series - The Sims Castaway Stories.

I bought this thing recently on Facebook Marketplace after searching for it for a long time in my country. Finally, I got it. I am planning to do a let’s play of it because I am very excited. I have never played it actually.

What needs to be mentioned is that this is The Sims Castaway Stories - the version for computers. There is another one called The Sims 2: Castaway but that is for consoles like Wii, PS2, or PSP.

And here I am happily holding my The Sims Castaway Stories game - also, it is in very nice condition!

This game has two modes/ways you can play it - story mode called Shipwrecked and Single which takes place on Felicity Island, and open-ended normal-gameplay-thing which takes place in a “neighborhood” called Wanmami Island.

How to install

The installation was pretty simple to me, I hope you’ll have the same - because installing these old sims games to newer computers seems to be like a roulette, someone doesn’t have any problems with that and someone else cannot make it run like ever.

Now, if you want to do what I did:

• simply install the game from the autorun OR if you consider it a better idea like I did (for no reason tbh, just bc some guys on the Internet recommend this for The Sims 1) you can right-click on the DVD in This PC and click open - then open the AutoRun.exe

• apply Graphics Rules Maker to the game there is a whole tutorial on how to do it on their website so I will not retell it

these are my settings, I mostly use the ones you get when you hit Auto-detect

If anything doesn’t work for you, try to run everything as an administrator, I do that permanently

• then don’t forget to set all settings of the game to maximum (if you think your computer is able to do that, but my PC is pretty average and it runs it perfectly so I think you’re ok)

• also, a thing that helped me a lot is setting Smooth Edges to More in Graphics/Performance Options

Unfortunately, even though I tried a lot of things, I wasn’t able to apply the 4GB patch on this game. So, if anyone knows how to do that, you can write me in the comments, in the sidebar, or on any of my social media and I can add it to the tutorial. Fortunately, my game works fiiine even without this.

The Sims 2 House - Cute Apartment Building Speedbuild + CC list

 Hello,

today I am showing you a house I built in The Sims 2. It is an apartment building, which has 3 floors with one apartment on each. This Sims 2 Apartment building is significant in that every apartment has a different main color. We have three apartments - pink, orange, and grey.

Public Parking Lot and How to Make It Functional

Hey!

Today I am here with a new downloadable lot for you! 

I really like this type of lots, that are not being really needed in The Sims 2 game itself but add realism to it. I mean, it doesn’t do much in the game but you can say In my head It will do this… Am I the only one who likes this kind of stuff? These parking lots, bus stations, hospitals (since in The Sims 2 sims don’t go to hospital), etc. 

On this lot, there are several parking spots, public toilets, and something like a bus stop which is actually just a house for the phone booth lol. 

I made it no CC, but in my game, I use some mods and CC to make it functional. I will tell you how to do it the same. 

(Simfileshare, if not working, use MEGA)

No CC

I have the UC so there may be things from different EPs and SPs. If you write it in the comments I can do better research on which exact packs do you need. ❤️

Which mods do I use?

MogHughson’s Park in the Car Park Mod - makes you able to use driveways on community lots.

MogHughson’s Decorative Parking Spaces - with random cars parked - spawn cars on your parking lots.

roddyaleixo’s Invisible Driveway & Extensions so the driveway is not visible and you only see the flooring that you use. To make this work you need to download the CEP by Numenor if you don’t use that already.

When you download all of these, you just place them on the lot, which is pretty intuitive. Also on the modthesims pages of each download, there are tutorials on how to use it.

• There is a place for one driveway and one extension on the lot, I use the invisible ones.
• The invisible driveway is just a recolor of the Maxis driveway so it is placed in build mode in the garage stuff as well as the decorative parking spaces.
• There are four places marked with the dashed line for the decorative parking spaces. I personally use the blank ones, but the other ones are nice as well.

The Lothario-Caliente Household | My the Sims 2 Journal

Hey! It is a new week and also it was a new week for Nina Caliente and Don Lothario in my game!

After Cassandra had broken up with Don, he was looking for a place to live. Nina, who was living alone after moving out of the condo, because of her sister Dina's marriage with Mortimer Goth, offered him to move in. So now these teenage sweethearts are living together.

As they are in love but definitely not planning a marriage or anything like that, because they are both Romance sims, Don keeps dating other women. We can see, that he and Brandi Broke feels..well..the same about each other.

Nina's lifetime want is to become a chef so she is working on her cooking skills.

Did you know that she loves animals?

Don's coworker from the medical career Amin Sims seems (haha) to have some feelings for Nina. She doesn't feel the same yet but maybe it will come.

What really surprised me was that Don rolled a want to apologize to Cassandra! He invited her over and apologized right in front of the door of his new house.

I decided to get Nina a dog because she wished for it and both Nina and Don have the highest possible interest in animals. It's a golden retriever and his name is Spaghette.

On the last day of their week, Nina started to show some signs of pregnancy. I was like omg nooo.. (I have ACR) The father is of course Don. 

I was thinking that it will be really weird for them and for the child and everyone that these two are living together, not married, dating other sims, and having a baby together. (I mean the sims don't actually mind but I do lol.) But then I remembered Ross and Rachel from Friends, who also had a child together and lived together while not being actual partners. So I'm okay with that now haha. Let's have Nina and Don like some kind of romance-sims Ross and Rachel!
